I plead ignorance of German humour; I was just going on the general perception (in Britain) anyway, and a few appalling German jokes from the textbook back when I was learning it. You're a good ambassador for German humour yourself

As for that poll; was that only open to people in Hamburg or something?

Why British humour kicks ass;

Monty Python The Office Black Books Fawlty Towers Have I Got News For You Peep Show The Fast Show Little Britain Videogaiden Father Ted

I can't be bothered to go on.... back on topic, I thought the Ankh trailer was quite good; and the music is meant to be a parody, surely?

What is it with Adventure trailers and glam Bollywoodish songs? First 80 days, and now this...

(On topic of britcoms, only yesterday I saw my first episode of The Office. I hadn't realized it's that good!)

Yes, I think once or twice when I was a kid. I loved it.

Okay, they have some similarities. But not enough to warrant sueing. "Under the Sea" is much faster, and has a bit of a different rythm. Especially the Refrain is different. In "This is Cairo", the things are all drawn out. In "Under the Sea", the refrain is pretty fast.

I might only seen the movie once or twice, but I can remember the songs. Also, we sung it in choir some years back.

Agreed. It's a shame that most North American gamers don't find games where you can't decapitate, shoot or run over people very absorbing

This is like saying I am writing a book, and it's completely original because I don't intentionally put similarities in.

Well, I tried asking a friend of mine, who is a great fan of the Little Mermaid, and knows the song, but the download did not work.

So we're stuck in the discussion.

I should probably add at this point that I wasn't intending to suggest that Under the Sea was specifically a song that the Ankh song sounds like (though it does in some respects). I was just typing the words to the only Little Mermaid song that I could remember at the time .

Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my
Collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl
The girl who has everything?
I've got gidgets and gadgets aplenty.
I've got whozits and whatsits galore.
You want thingamabobs? I've got twenty.
But who cares? No big deal. I want more!

I wanna be where the people are.
I wanna see, wanna see them dancing
Walking around on those, what d'you call 'em, oh, Feet!
Flippin' your fins you don't get too far.
Legs are required for jumping, dancing.
Strolling along down the, what's that word again? Street!

Up where they walk. Up where they run.
Up where they stay all day in the sun.
Wandering free, wish I could be part of that world!

What would I give. If I could live. Out of these waters?
What would I pay. To spend a day. Warm on the Sand!

Betcha on land, they understand.
Bet they don't reprimand their daughters -
Bright young women, sick of swimming, ready to stand!

And ready to know, what the people know.
Ask them my questions, and get some answers.
What's a fire and why does it, what's the word, burn?

When's it my turn? Wouldn't I love.
Love to explore that shore up above,
out of the sea. Wish I could be
Part of that world.

Now, who can remember the songs here? Huh? Huh?

I didn't even have to consult my choir folder for this. I know the lyrics and melody by heart.

Ah, The Little Mermaid. I remember my mother bought the video when I had chicken pox as a wee young thing...

Actually, it's set on an entirely fictitious island .

But it's filmed in Ireland and the actors are Irish. So don't try and argue that this is british.
