Dreamfall
I haven't really been following Dreamfall as it moves closer to its release date, so I'm just wondering: Is Dreamfall going to be in the same style as TLJ? Is it going to be Syberia style, or more like Zeldaesque style (dialogue, ACTION)?

Dreamfall to be more about choices "The game is not about combat..." Quote:

soooooo . . . there are battle sequences (didn't see that in Syberia or TLJ). Not exactly like TLJ, I guess. So I guess it is more Zeldaesque . . .

From what I've read, it sound like it'll definitely be more like TLJ than Zelda. Zelda games are much more about combat than puzzles, Dreamfall sounds like it'll be nothing at all like that. All the combat in Dreamfall is supposed to be realistic and natural. You’re not going to be wandering through massive dungeons killings hoards of skeletons or whatever, collecting boomerangs and killing bosses, only to now and then moving a pot onto a switch. You’re going to be going around—utilizing a free-look 3D 3rd-person interface—uncovering a detailed plotline through dialogue, some “natural” puzzles, and once in a while you might dig too deep, tick somebody off, and get into a small fistfight or something like that. Zelda games are some of the best, but Dreamfall shouldn’t be anything at all like them.

Might very well be a good thing, since TLJ pulled off the same tricks that ten years+ older games had.

There is so little infomation about the gameplay, and specifically the combat and stealth, that I think it will play a lot less of a part than in a game such as Beyond Good and Evil. If only someone who have seen the game in action could explain the gameplay with examples from other games, and clear technical explanations.

I'm kinda worried, I wanted this game to recapture the essence of TLJ which, rather fantastically, had too distinct atmospheres. The Hard, cold dysotopian cyber-punkish world and the warm, fantastic, friendly one.
Somehow I think I will be disappointed. I just hope I can at least enjoy the game on its own merits.

People, stop loosing your teeth already! What will be will be. Worrying won't change it, and will only shorten your life. So stop it already!
Sorry, I had to say that. -

It's supposed to have different styles depending on platform(action sequences in Xbox version are tougher than PC for example). They've also promised multiple ways of getting from point A to B(sort of like fahrenheit?) so you can avoid action sequences if you want.

According to the previews you will see or miss certain details of the story depending on how you play it.

It's good to see an upcoming "action-adventure" with a deep storyline immersive atmosphere. It's no BG&E 2 but this should do.

I'm not expecting much from this one. TLJ was a great, great game but the way this industry is going, Dreamfall will more likely to be a short 'n' sweet action/adventure hybrid leaving traditional puzzle-gamers cold. Just my prediction, no need to jump on me if you disagree. Let's just say I hope I'm proven wrong
