Anyone played Martin Mystere?
Ok, I recently bought Martin Mystere, for no other reason than I had nothing else to play and this game looked like a point & click mystery adventure. It was pretty cheap so I wasn't really expecting anything great.
Well, I was right - this game is awful - horrendous voice acting, illogical puzzles and annoying camera angles I'm sticking with it just out of stubbornness I was wondering what other peoples opinions were??

I've only played a small portion (got Martin out of the apartment and to the crime scene), but I'm sorry to say I was unimpressed.
I'm going to keep at it and see if it picks up, but so far, not so good. |

I've started it, was unimpressed, but didn't think it was that awful, just... no that interesting.
I'll try to get back to it when I've got time.

Ok, I may have been a little harsh with my earlier comments - the game is not awful; it's just dull.............
I decided to stick with it and play some more, and although I don't think the game is awful, I stick with my previous opinions about the voice acting. Come on!!!! How stupid do the developers think we are? The game is set in the USA but you will be lucky if you encounter a single american accent all through the game And its not just the accents - the actors themselves must have been scraped from the bottom of the barrel! I thought the accents and acting in Legacy:Lost Shadows was bad but this is 10 times worse

I thought it was funny that they kept referring to the dead guy's villa. I forgot that the game was set in New York at first because the word villa is very European... we don't really use it here (and you certainly wouldn't find one in New York City!)

The game is ok, just that.
I had great expectations about the game, so I really felt dissappointed when I saw how good it might had been. The voice acting is lame, specially in some NPC, such as that cop who's guarding the victim's bedroom. Some parts of the story seemed pointlessput there just to fill , while others in which the story might had been developed deeply, weren't there. Am I the only one pissed off 'cause you can't open a single drawer in the whole game?! And I really, really wanted to wander around all those temples... |

I also was disappointed with this game as I had great expectations for it. The attempts at humour usually fell flat and why did most characters have English accents? The game was set in New York yet no one (that I can remember) had a New York accent.
Another thing I didn't like was the cutscenes. They had still images but they weren't very well done. The cutscenes in GK1 were much better despite it being more than ten years older. All in all very disappointing. Another game that had it's potential wasted. |

I create. Therefore I am.

Awful. Played the game the first 20 minutes, but then I got fed up with it, quit, and uninstalled it. What a waste of money.
