"Da Vinci Experience" Announced
I was just browsing the net and found this news item at http://www.worthplaying.com/article....thread&order=0
It's way too early to say whether it will be any good or just a "Da Vinci code" cash in but hopefully it will be good. On the news item they call it a "major adventure and investigation game" so I will be keeping an eye on this game. |

But Kheops Studio is involved so it could in fact turn out to be rather good.

If I remember correctly someone said that The Da Vinci Code (the book) would make a great adventuregame. But wait, that was me. (sorry, but I had to).

And it was quite good too. In fact any time I hear something about templars, masons, holy grails and the like I immediately think of Gabriel. |

Totem and Mzone worked with Kheops on Echo, and possibly Egyptian Prophecy. Not 100% sure on the last one, but definitely Echo. Each contributes a distinct part of the game development (one of them does graphics, for example). On Echo, it was Kheops who provided the coordination, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did again, but that's a guess at this stage.
Interesting to see another worldwide publisher emerge in Nobilis. Unfortunately, they wouldn't say more about the game at this stage. (We tried, though! ) |

Thanks, Jack and Dusty. Would that mean "Da Vinci Experience" is the Echo-like game Kheops promised to release next after Mysterious Island-like one (namely, Voyage)? I guess it is, as it's difficult to imagine them making yet another one before the announced Spring release, having already produced two this year.
How many employees does Kheops have, anyway? Those guys are incredibly fast.

I hope they don't get sued because of adding to the oversupply of Knights Templar related games.
It's not as if I don't enjoy them, and the topic is interesting. But still, everyone knows that the grail is not held in the said chapel, but in castle McDuck (around Glasgow). -
