I could swear there already a thread about this topic, but I couldn't find it, so...

I was playing this weird game called Cosmic Spacehead, which is some sort of adventure game but you get a plataform level, but only once, after that the action level is gone....

Ok, the games is pretty weird but it has some of the most STUPID puzzles ever!

Spoiler:

You encounter a giant monster which won't let you pass, how do you beat it you ask?

You give him a helium filled ballon! Why do I think this is silly?

The hero is a mere child! How can he carry a ballon that can lift something 10 times heavier than him?

Spoiler:

You find a river with ice cold water, but not actually frozen. How do you cross?

By pouring icing sugar in it? (Icing! Get it!)

And how do you cross the next river? By simply jumping over it!

Then why didn't he jump over the other river! They are just as wide!

Has anybody else encountered puzzles that are just as daft?

Also a lot of the puzzles in Myst seem to have no real meaning, they're just there...

My first thought on reading the subject line was if it wouldn't be easier to list puzzles that actually does make sense.

Runaway. There's not a single puzzle in it that makes any sense.
