Gamespot reviews Broken Sword
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/adventure...sd/review.html
I must say, I think this was a very well-written review. Most of their complaints were ones that I feel were justified, but their 8.1 score of "Great" proves that they don't have an adventure bias or whatever silly thing some people on these forums them of having. The only point of contention for me is the graphics getting an 8--but then again, I have a strong feeling this is just me being out of touch with the latest and greatest graphical wizardry on the market rather than Gamespot being unfair. |

I wonder if their XBox review will be as kind (if they're going to have one?). With the XBox's apparently long load times, and genre-clash the reviewer is bound to face (I mean, arguably graphic adventures on consoles at all is a bit of a genre-clash), and all...

Looking at screenshots - the graphics do seem VERY nice. Just slightly pixelly around the edges giving it a cut-paste look, I guess.
I suppose it also depends on the resolution... But good to see a posotive review from the Review King (in my opinion, anyway) ;) While I don't take anyone's word while making the choice to buy a game, I do regard highly Gamespot's opinion. |

Gamespot just likes it cuz it's a Tomb Raider clone.
Wait, I'll do it myself... me :pan: No, a very fair and balanced review. I haven't reached the end of the game yet, but I agree fully with the assessment. They didn't go overboard with praise just because it's so new and refreshing, and they didn't bash it because... well, there's NO reason to really bash it, as they noted. Kudos, Revolution!! |
