Default Downloading PC Games & Determining the Host PC

I want to download an adventure game to my PC but want to install on a different PC. In your documentation it states the "You can uninstall and reinstall your game on the same PC as many times as you want*" How does the downloaded game detect the same PC? Is it the PC that the game was downloaded to or the PC that the game is 1st installed on?

This is what they say, although I myself think, that maybe the PC's mac address is also an issue.

Yes, I had read about the mac address being used to detect the PC. However, I am wondering if the mac address is detected when you download the game or only when you install the game? What I would like to do is install the game on my wife's computer but download and copy to CD from my computer. I don't want the game installed on my PC but would want to use my PC only for downloading. Am I making sense?

So in the scenario you're describing there shouldn't be a problem. Whilst I don't know whether MAC addresses are detected on download you can install on 3 different PCs (or 3 different builds of the same PC if you make major component changes) therefore, even if your PC is detected as PC 1, you've still got 2 available installations, allowing you to transfer to your wife's machine.
