I have windows XP and when i recently installed Torrins Passage I got a similiar message. Both of these games were Sierra products and came out around the same time. I had to run the game in Windows 95 compatibilty. Right click on the launch icon and click on properties, compatibility and choose windows 95. You may have to lower the graphic setting in the same box.
