You're spot on. It's why Telltale games now bore me. They used to be a must-buy company with Sam&Max TOMI and Wallace and Gromit, but I tried the first episode but decided halfway through that I'm not going to buy any more Telltale unless I'm absolutely certain I'll like the game.
