The concept sounds great, and I didn't play the original, so I'm backing this.

Also:

"(...) This is an all-new third-person adventure game (like The Longest Journey: Dreamfall or Gabriel Knight III) featuring an updated and expanded version of that classic science-fiction story."

"(...) Its important to both the gameplay and the story that you feel "present" in this world and we felt 3D conveys this feeling better."

I'm happy that they take the 3D perspective serious, and don't just make it a gimmick (of course we'll have to wait and see if that's in fact the case, but I'm optimistic).
