David Jason was the big selling point of that production - despite the fact that he was woefully miscast. Unfortunately, like David Jason, Eric Idle's probably too old for the role now.
Rincewind's younger than people tend to imagine for some reason.
Idle's voice for the Rincewind of the games worked really well.
