The fun thing is that I remember my father singing the Dutch version of that song when I was about 3, 4 years maybe. He sang it a lot with toddler-me.
It surprised me so much to find out there is actually an English version of it.

About the Escape! poem: reading it is fun, but the way Step recited it is just priceless I hope Maruca still has the video somewhere.
