According to my know-it-all girlfriend (who is reading over my shoulder as I type this, so this is just to annoy her
) there is no strippenkaart that costs 16 euro: They come in 2 flavours: a card of 15 strips, which is around 7 euros, and one of 45 strips which is about 21 euros.
Buying strips on the bus/tram would be 80 cent per strip. Note however that if things are still the way they were when I left Amsterdam, you can't buy strips on tram 5. It is possible in all other trams as far as I know. Don't ask me why. Must have some grand scheme behind it, but I never figured it out. (Wait, we're with a whole bunch of adventure gamers, we should solve this puzzle
