I have been playing Mass Effect for the past week or so. I am about to head to Ilos for what I expect will be the main/final conflict of the game. In preparation I've been flying around to random solar systems to harvest minerals and such so I could complete the various "collection" quests, and have also encountered a few random enemies here and there, so I was able to level up a few more times before facing Saren. [Although I'm not sure, the game may simply scale the enemies each time I level up, similar to Oblivion. Does anyone know?]

It's a good game and I recommend it, even though it's way too short and the combat is a bit too easy [I think I'm using the "normal" setting; I forget whether there's a "hard" setting]. I wish there were a lot more (and more interesting) side quests.
