If you think there
is such a thing as "too artsy", then it's probably not for you.
Personally, I absolutely loved it. The first time I watched, I was just trying to keep track of everything. I enjoyed many little parts of it, but the bigger picture eluded me. But then when I saw the final shot of the movie, it all clicked into place and I thought I saw what the movie was about. So I watched it again, thinking I understood it, and suddenly I started noticing things in the background which I'd totally ignored the first time I was watching, which make the movie a lot more interesting.
It's basically trying to be about absolutely everything: life, death, love, art, family, relationships. And as such there were some parts of it that really spoke to me, and some parts that didn't. I suspect that if I saw it again ten years from now, when I'm in a different place in my life, I'd get something totally different out of the movie.
