yuck i dont like any of the changes you are talking about, you seem to like rpgs a lot so why not just play them? Fable is a good combo of the 2 also prince of persia (i am sure there is more but got brain freeze this morning lol). Personally i like to know what im getting from an adventure game and the only thing other than the usual graphic, voice acting etc i would change about the genre is the amount of games being released. theres just not enough for my liking
