Once upon a time, in Happy Happy Land,
Barney the Talking Dinosaur was singing happily with his happy friends.
"I love you," sang
Barney, "you love me..."
"No we don't," came the reply. "Actually, we find you distinctly irritating."
"Aww, shucks," came the reply from the six-foot, green and purple dinosaur. "But I love you so very much! Big hug!"
With that,
Barney lunged forward, gripping his happy friends firmly in his warm embrace.
"Now, let's go from the top again..."
And the children sang as one...
I love you,
you love me,
we are one big family!
With a great big hug
and a kiss from me to you,
won't you say you love me too?

Nearby, in a dimly lit room, a row of surly television producers sat staring at the monitor. On it, a hyperactive purple monster was singing tunelessly with a bunch of hyperactive children.
