Yeah, but playtesting is really completely different from alpha/beta testing. The purpose of the latter is to find bugs. The purpose of the former is to figure out if there are parts of the design that should be changed to make the game more fun.

Bug testing for games is pretty much the same as bug testing for any other software. Playtesting is more unique, more like a cross between usability tests and the test screenings of films.
