- Always have something other than your hands sterilised at the point where you need to stiir the boiling water/malt mixture.
- Never let the business end of the siphon tube slip out and pour beer over the floor and under the cooker.
- Don't let your wife catch you saying "Don't you look wonderful" to the fermenting bin (even though 40 pints of fermenting ale is a fine sight)
