So...we saw Letters From Iwo Jima after seeing The Queen...both very good from what I could tell....unfortunately we're going to have to see Iwo Jima again. Not only was the beginning messed up because the incredibly daft theater people hadn't checked to see if the film was correct, but there was a couple behind us who felt that Clint Eastwood's film would be so much better with their own personal commentary running in the background. The guy spoke up every 40 seconds or so and didn't even bother to lower his voice. AAARGH. It makes me so MAD when people talk during movies. WHY? WHYYY? It's so incredibly RUDE! Watch the freakity fraz FILM for cripes sake or go HOME and watch TV where you can be a rustic fool without bothering anyone!
The Queen was interesting. I wonder what the royal family thought of it. Helen Mirren was perfect for the part I thought.
