I always try to read the original version of books as long as I can understand the language.. The problem is that books not translated to norwegian are more expensive and harder to get hold of.. They tend to even translate Scandinavian books.
The only thing I can remember giving up the original of was Shakespeare. I discovered that I had to read the norwegian translation first, to get the story, then read the original version, and try to understand all the words..
