I was watching Dr Phil the other day, and his guest was a woman, whose abusive boyfriend had shot out her right eye, and I was very upset that she wasn't wearing an eye patch.
Apart from looking stylish, an eye patch is just common courtesy, so people do not have to witness the gruesome sight of a thin piece of skin stretched across your vacant eye socket.
