I think the similarities were there on purpose...Rocky's career ends the way it began: he has a relationship with a local gal; his fight ends up as a loss, but still a spiritual win; he has his remaining family and neighborhood friends to share his life with. And, what I thought was a neat touch, the chair at Adrian's grave was gone...he was no longer living in the past, and moping around.
lol, can you tell I liked it? (at least it wipes away the bitter memory of Rocky V...)
