I would go the other way with that. The "combat" in Shadow of the Colossus isn't really the traditional twitch combat that you think of in video games; it's more about finding the right spot and hitting attack. It only seems like combat to me like selecting a sword in your inventory and clicking an enemy would in a traditional adventure game. Technically, you're using a sword to vanquish an enemy, but it just doesn't really seem combat-y to me. There are some exceptions, notably some of the bow and arrow parts, but that's my opinion on the game overall.
In Ico, on the other hand, you're constantly needing to fight off those damn shadows. Much more combat in that game from what I remember.
