Having four in the top one hundred consistently still doesn't mean much in terms of popularity. It's not like there are thousands of entirely different genres out there to to compete against and "adventure" is good enough to snag a
whopping 5% of that coveted piece of the sales pie. Now, if those four were in the top ten or twenty on a consistent basis, then I'd agree that adventure games (as we define them) are gaining some serious notoriety. But out of a hundred, and probably mostly toward the bottom? Nah, I kind of doubt it. They're doing just "okay" for now, if that.
