I can give you a hint: whenever something says it's a *insert nationality*-an breakfast etc., it's often not.

That's especially true for for example sauces or spice mixtures from Asia etc. Some very common "Indian" stuff here is actually unheard of there...

Also, nobody eats pickled herring for breakfast. At least in Finland (so sure, it might not exactly be Scandinavia (is it? I've always been uncertain of that), but still, it's pretty similar). Also maple suryp is very rare here. And I've not heard of anyone eating waffles for breakfast, let alone with maple suryp. And raisins and apples in porridge??
