I'm thinking you are talking about paparazzi. The term is derived from one of the charcters from that movie, right? I haven't even seen the movie, by the way. I just remember reading about this somewhere. La Dolce Vita is one of those movies that I have meant to watch forever but haven't had a chance to yet.
