As someone who never played BoD, but played Star Trail and Shadows Over Riva, I can strongly encourage you do so. I bought all three in one box a few years back (I think it was from Chips & Bits) and I can't say I ever regretted it. If only they made RPG's like they used to. Attic had hinted at continuing the Das Schwarze Auge series at some point, but I'm fairly sure they're out of business by now.
