Darn, darn, darn, I kept meaning to do this, and then didn't. Hope it's not too late.
Here's a link to the local Silicon Valley alternative paper - there are free newspapers that report on the music scene, restaurants, movies, that sort of thing. I like the San Jose Metro a lot. It's unusual in that for a free alternative paper, the articles are also good.
