I'm sorry for those here who were hoping for other cities (Paris would have been great), but I'm also happy to see London win!
Wow. The plans for the new aquatic center look wonderful.
San Francisco (which included the whole SF Bay area) bid, but it didn't even make the final round. Oh well.
Maybe 2012 will be the year I finally make it to the Olympics, though in the only sport I really like to watch is swimming, and sometimes diving. I always try to watch a bit of the swimming - a sport I can actually understand and follow.
