it doesn't really revolve around Alexander (not just about him anyway) and KQ6. It just happens to start in the Green Isles.
In a nutshell, it revolves around an ancient 1000 years old two-sided Prophecy linked to the royal family.
But that's really coming short of a real description as the story goes really deep and dark.
