I started playing Shadow of Destiny/Memories a few years ago, but I didn’t really have time for games then and so I put it away after a couple of chapters until I could play it properly… and now it won’t run in my new computer.  Embarassed

I have absolutely no memory of what little I had played, but supposedly it’s a great game!

Yeah, I remember Shadow of Memories. LOL, I had no idea what I was doing. I kept on dying all the time Confused So, yes, I never finished the game either. The game had a very large area to explore (it was pretty much “open world”) and you had very little time (I don’t remember how much exactly) to prevent the murderer from killing you and find more clues about your murderer before you died again.  Shifty Eyed

Anyway, I would like to finish the game some day, because it has a very interesting concept (the ability to return time, and live the same day all over again, the so called “déjà vu” concept)

Groundhog day the video game.

You know now that I think about it groundhog day would make a great adventure game.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

Reminds me of Kids in the Hall.

I loved Shadows of Memories! - from what I can remember it was the first AG to be produced for PS2 which is the version I have.

I wasn’t crazy about the control system but the story was interesting! Starting off with the protagonist being killed in various scenarios & then going back to different time frames to try & change things to prevent the protagonist’s death was very compelling! It was also very replayable - from what I can remember there are 5 different endings?

I wanna play this! It’s on my list of ‘games to play’. I hope it gets a re-release on GOG at some point! Smile

*bump*

I haven’t played this yet, but it’s on my list of games to play and it got a serious bump forwards on said list when I finished Time Hollow. I loved Time Hollow and the fact that this is by the same designer was enough for me… Tongue
