Adventure Gamers uses a simple rating scale of 1 to 5 stars, including half stars, in its reviews. Each star represents a specific quality tier, which breaks down as follows:

***** 4.5 and 5 stars
An instant, hall of fame classic. Every true adventure fan must have this game in their library. Although five stars are not to be mistaken for "perfection", we do award our highest score only to those games that have almost achieved their full potential.

**** 3.5 and 4 stars
A game of very high quality. Although some aspects might have been executed better, we would recommend this game to any adventure gamer without hesitation.

*** 2.5 and 3 stars
A cautious recommendation; the flaws are still outnumbered by the positive aspects, but the game may not be for everyone.

** 1.5 and 2 stars
Although there may be some good elements, generally the game is not a positive experience. It might become of mild interest if it's released at bargain price, however.

* 0.5 and 1 star
A complete waste of time with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. We would not recommend this game to anyone, at any price. Avoid.
