Thanks for the warning! I use CCleaner now and then to clean things up, but will uncheck Flash this time round.

I really enjoyed Machinarium. Specifically the admosphere with the beautifull graphics and music. But also the animation is top quality. There are so many different movements and expressions, it's amazing.
I would give the game at least 4 stars, everything is of high quallity including the puzzles. They are varied and challenging but never unfair. And who doesn't like a challenge now and then?
On top of that it is low priced and you get an additional soundtrack.

I'm allready waiting for the sequel. I mean, the end
Spoiler:
clearly sets the start for a new adventure in finding our beloved one, doesn't it?

What does
Spoiler:
finding our beloved one
mean?

Spoiler:
Again trying to save the female robot from a new kidnap?

@dekaneas297
Spoiler:
In the after titles you see the two robots get separated and carried away to different locations. I presumed this was a hint to a sequel where our protagonist has to find his/her friend again

And I'm also hoping for more from these developers!

Thanks, I forgot that. But I doubt, if a sequel is made, that the same repetitive scenario will be applied. Probably something different.

Anyway, I hope a sequel is made

Ditto that. But I don't recall anything extra after the credits. Maybe I wasn't paying attention

Guess I'll replay it one day anyhoo...

I have to admit I've had a hard time with some of the puzzles, but the green house and the penny arcade (expr?) were a pure delight. I just love that kind of puzzles!

Charming is a good adjective for this game. It had me smiling most of the time. I especially loved the band and even hung around for
Spoiler:
a second round of the jam session.

I really enjoyed the puzzles. It made me laugh when the little guy would shrug his shoulders or tap his foot while I was trying to figure out what to do. In the game room, I had some trouble with
Spoiler:
Space Invaders
until I discovered I could use my own keyboard. Many of the other puzzles were tough but fair.

Ah man I loved those guys. I got my brother playing the game purely based on him catching a glimpse of them over my shoulder. He too stayed to watch it through as well, with said smile on face

It's moments like these that just can't seem to be found outside adventure gaming. Ah, sigh...

You can use your own keyboard!! Thanks for mentioning that. I was not doing well with that game, got massively frustrated and put the game aside (which I'm loving except for the arcade part).

Melanie, here are a few tips from another board.

Spoiler:
kill off the first couple of rows of invaders. Then drill into the ranks of invaders to allow clear shooting into the "sky". This gives you a window to the big red saucer that you can then kill and which will increase your point score by many times what a single invader will accrue.

Bless you Fien! It was taking so long to get the point score they wanted and my wrist was getting sore using the mouse. That will indeed be helpful. Thanks!

(yes, I'm a whiny baby)

You're welcome. I was having a difficult time with the mouse, too, and after about 15 attempts, I started wishing I could pound the keys faster. Since the screen game was set up like the space bar and arrow keys, I just thought I'd give it a try on my own keyboard and was thrilled that it worked. After a few more attempts, I had it.

- Bird puzzle was the hardest because my game lagged. Tried it many times, then thought it wasn't the right solution.

- Also had a problem with
Spoiler:
the flies-in-the-bartender's-face part
. Seems to be a pretty obscure solution to me.

- The rest of the puzzles were satisfying.

- I may play it again just to read all the hint books. They're amusing.

Tyler_Legrand - Please remove or hide the spoilers, give a thought to the people who haven't played the game yet.
