completed contest: Overclocked: A History of Violence giveaway
Better still, to help mark the occasion, we are pleased to offer a free copy of the game to three lucky winners, courtesy of Lighthouse Interactive... After a lengthy wait following its German-language release, the English version has finally shipped in North America, giving gamers the first opportunity to delve into this mature, complex, and even somewhat controversial subject matter for themselves... The latest adventure from House of Tales is a "journey into character" that explores the psychological effects of violence... Ever since its original announcement, Overclocked: A History of Violence has been one of the most highly-anticipated new adventures on the horizon. Find that paragraph hard to read, did you? That's because its sentences are organized backwards. But if you think that's a strange way to structure an introduction, brace yourself for Overclocked, which not only examines themes rarely encountered in games, but also does so largely in reverse chronological order. As Dr. David McNamara, former U.S. Army forensic psychiatrist, players will probe the lost memories of five young people, all found alone and disoriented throughout New York City, all brandishing weapons after committing acts of violence. These memories are slowly unveiled in bits and pieces backwards, and players will get to live out their experiences first-hand, as the game alternates between not one but six playable characters. If you're looking for something a little different than conventional adventures, then, Overclocked may just be for you. And for three lucky people, that opportunity will come free. No, you don't have to beat up the game store clerk and run off with a copy, though you get part marks for such topical thinking. To be eligible to win, all you need to do is correctly answer the three mentally scrutinizing questions below. Note the "correctly" part of that condition. This isn't a Rorshach test where there are no right and wrong answers. But just to show that we're here to help, all the answers you need can be found either in our Overclocked preview or at the game's official website. The contest will run for one full week, ending Wednesday, April 16th, so get your entry in today. The clock is ticking, and the longer you wait, the faster it ticks. Good luck!
